CRT or LCD TV

With the new innovations, many discussion are going on to decide as to what is better CRT or LCD TV? The concept of entertainment has radically changed the way of people’s thinking. Let it be music system, mp3 players or cinemas people are constantly adopting new ways of entertainment. With CRT LCD TV you cant just stop advancement in technology.

CRT television

The CRT television or cathode ray tube is an very old standards of televisions. The principle behind CRT screen is the vacuum tube that consist of an electron gun; which is directed towards a screen coated phosphor. These electron guns fires electrons at the screens causing phosphor to heat up. By this action, colors on the screen are produced on image that you watch.

Also, with the advent of LCD TV the options of the entertainments have become simpler. These are some of the hottest selling items in the electronic places. There is much competition for the LCD TV and CRT TVs. The CRT TVs are still selling in the market. Although they do not have same design of LCD TVs, CRTs are less expensive but it offers excellent image quality. However with the time there are much more progress seen in the LCDs than in CRTs.

The most important thing to note is that the new technology has high cost to develop them so the makers of the televisions has also charged the premium such as LCDs. while it is not the case in CRTs. Another reason is that a lot of marketing is going on and so there are very less number of people looking out for CRT TVs.  And also CRT TVs are bulky and large compare to LCDs. But CRT technology has far more better contrast ratio than LCD. CRT screen generally do not have any issues with the brightness due to its construction in itself. They also have benefit of better viewing for a wide angle from every side.
